Guide service
To get a more in depth introduction to the museum's exhibition, we recommend using a guide. A guide can explain the contents of the museum, the island's history, customs and traditions, and modern life. If you're interested in booking a guided tour, please contact us in advance at muuseum@kihnu.ee.
It is possible to order a tour in Estonian, Russian, English, and Finnish.
The tour lasts about 1 hour, while the guide introduces the museum's permanent exhibition, temporary exhibition room and talks about modern life on the island. Guides take into account the special nature of the group, whether there are children or elderly people and shares information accordingly.

Group visit
If you're planning to visit Kihnu museum with a large group, please make a reservation in advance at muuseum@kihnu.ee.
Without letting us know in advance, you may end up having to wait because there is already a group in the museum. When booking a group visit, please let us know the date and time of your visit as well as the size of your group. Also any additional requests such as a guided tour or workshops.
Kihnu Museum group visit with guided tour and workshop:
Duration: 2.5 h
Group: 15-24 people
Price: 10€/person
The group is divided in half:
Group I visits the permanent exhibition with guide (approx. 1 hour).
Group II participates in a ribbon braiding workshop (approx. 1h).
Then the groups switch. Each visitor takes home their own handmade braid, a lot of knowledge about the history and customs of Kihnu, and a lot of happy memories.
Cost includes guided tour of the museum and the price of the workshop.
